Sweet Vienna Rose is a petite 3-year-old female who tends to be on the shy side when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly.  Her original home was with a family with children, but she was gifted to a woman who had many farm animals.  Vienna Rose loved the horses, but her prey drive made her not a friend of the chickens on the property.  As much as the woman wanted to keep her, she knew it would be better to find her a home without the temptation of the chickens.  We were happy she reached out to GSRNE for help.

It just so happened that fate aligned.  We were recently contacted by a former GSRNE adopter who was looking to adopt again after losing her female.  Her dog had been a loving, kind girl and her loss left a huge void.  The adopter was hoping we could find her a dog with a similar personality and Vienna Rose met all those asks.  Since we did not have a foster home available, we asked if the former adopter would be willing to foster her with the option to adopt if things went well.  They said yes and Vienna Rose was transported to them.  Only a few hours after arrival, Vienna Rose had made herself at home.  It was like she’d been there for years.  They were amazed how similar her personality was to their prior dog, Vienna even had a little scar on her tongue that was reminiscent of one their past pup had.  We are so glad that Vienna Rose will not have to make the transition to a new family as she has without a doubt found her forever home.
