Doing work for dog rescues is time-intensive and unfortunately, money-intensive. Veterinary costs, quality boarding, advertising, foster care expenses, transportation and supplies all cost money. Since we’re an all-volunteer, privately funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to continue our work helping German Shepherds. GSRNE also relies on our GSRNE Memberships and Fundraising Events to raise money.

Planned Giving

Donor Advised Funds
Some people choose to donate through a donor advised fund (DAF). If your DAF doesn’t have GSRNE listed, you can enter our full name and EIN 04-3324970 to make the donation recommendation. GSRNE is set up for EFT with some of the largest donor advised funds including Fidelity Charitable.

 

Tax Free IRA Rollover
If you are 70½ or older, you may be eligible to donate a certain amount to a charity directly from your IRA, and not have to pay federal income tax on the amount. Please ask your financial advisor about making a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly from your IRA.

Estate
Planning
As you update your estate plan, don’t forget to take care of your pets. In Massachusetts, one cannot leave assets to a pet because pets are considered personal property. However, you can designate a Pet Guardian and establish a Pet Trust to allocate money for your pet’s care.

 

Tribute, Honor, Memorial Giving
Many donors wish to honor a special person in their lives, or remember a person that has passed, through a memorial donation. This can be done by selecting memorial/ honorarium by clicking the Donate button above.

You can also remember that special four-legged family member through a memorial donation on the donation form.

In-Kind Gifts are contributions of goods or services, other than cash grants, to be used for GSRNE and/or our fundraisers, such as calendar raffles or the auction. We are always in need of in-kind gifts so we can use them for our annual auction, calendar raffles, foster dogs, and supplies.
