Another Exciting Year at Our Annual Live Auction!

Another Exciting Year at Our Annual Live Auction!

Another successful year of the German Shepherd Rescue of New England (GSRNE) Auction has come to a close, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the overwhelming support and generosity shown by our donors, volunteers, and patrons. With your contributions, we’ve surpassed our fundraising goals, ensuring that we can continue our mission of rescuing, fostering, and caring for German Shepherds in need. Together, we’ve raised a rough total of $13,000.

The event kicked off with the dedicated set-up crew, including Carol, Mark, Peggy, Abby, Amy, Amy, Michelle, Barbara, and Diana T. This group consisted of both experienced volunteers and eager newcomers, all of whom worked tirelessly to create the perfect atmosphere for the main event. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by Remy and Tomas at the registration table, where they began their journey through the array of auction items. The silent auction, enticed bidders to peruse and place their bids, while Kathy, Jodi, Amy, and Michelle ensured smooth sailing at the sales and 50/50 raffle stations.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the live auction, expertly orchestrated by Lauralee, whose charisma and wit captivated the audience from start to finish. Her energy and charm added an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings, ensuring a lively and engaging experience for all.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the generous donations of food to fuel our bidders and volunteers alike. From Remy’s famous brownies to Carol’s delectable sandwiches and pasta salad, there were treats from the Whoopie Wagon, as well as the Domino’s pizza & case of water contributed by Piper’s new adopters, Daniela & Cesar, along with fruit salad & cookies brought in by Amy, also a new volunteer, there was no shortage of delicious fare to keep everyone energized throughout the event. The food station was skillfully manned by Carol, Mark, and Cheryl.

We were also delighted to welcome some furry friends to the festivities, including Akylla and her adorable pups Odin and Piper, Hannah, Rikka, Princess Red & Thunder, Guinness, Fenn, Kylylie and Luca. Their presence served as a poignant reminder of why we do what we do—to provide a second chance for dogs like them who deserve love and care.

As the dust settles and the excitement wanes, we pause to reflect on the significance of this event. The funds raised here will enable us to continue our vital work, from fostering and medical care to training and rehabilitation, ensuring that every dog who comes into our care receives the support they need to thrive.

To our donors, volunteers, patrons, and furry friends alike, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your unwavering support and dedication truly make a difference in the lives of the dogs we serve. Together, we are a family—a village united in our mission to make the world a better place for our four-legged friends.

Special thanks to Chris H. for silently guiding the day in the background, and to Marie G. for capturing the moments on her camera to preserve the memories.

Thank you for being a part of the GSRNE family. Here’s to another year of saving lives and making tails wag!
