We met Tiger, who is a litter mate to Lion, when he was 8 months old, after he had been left at a shelter.  Someone had bred his parents and found they could not sell all the puppies in the litter; they decided it was too expensive to keep the last two and took them to the shelter.

There was no foster home available when we brought Tiger and Lion into GSRNE, so we boarded them at first.  They stayed in the same kennel run and played together in the fenced exercise yard when it was their turn to be out.  We had to place them in separate foster homes, each of which had a dog in the family, and both Tiger and Lion have made a good transition.

Tiger is living with a female German Shepherd named Bae, and he plays nicely with her but also gives her some space.  When he tries to initiate play, and she’s not in the mood, he will go and lie down instead of pestering her.  He does love to play and really enjoys his toys.  He also loves to go for a walk or a jog and is great company outside and will settle down and relax inside the house.

He can be a little skittish when meeting a man for the first time, but he responds well to a calm introduction.  He takes to the ladies right away and has been fine around children and teenagers. He does enjoy being with people, but he doesn’t climb into a lap and seek attention all the time; he’s fine lying close by and just keeping you company when you want to sit and relax.

Tiger is now ready to move on to a family of his own, so please let us know if you would like to be his special person or family.
