Ramble is a very sweet sociable boy who loves to be a part of the family and wants to be a part whatever is going on. He loves playing with toys, going for walks, playing fetch in the fenced yard and playing chase games with his foster sister, Ava.  She will sometimes pester him, but he is amazingly tolerant with her antics, and just rolls with it. Ramble wants to please and gets a worried look on his face if he thinks he’s done something to offend anybody. Ramble has a perfect “sit” and will sit like a statue and just look at one of his foster parents when he’s waiting for attention

We know that Ramble came from the South to a shelter in New England and had badly flea-bitten ears; at that time, he was 2 ½ or 3 years old.  The couple who adopted him recently had a baby and said that Ramble seemed to be upset by the baby’s crying.  They felt it would be best to find him another home and got in touch with GSRNE.  During his time in foster care, Ramble has not acted nervous about any noises or activities and has shown no aggression toward dogs or people.

We’ve read in his medical history that he has had some skin problems in the past, especially on his stomach.  In foster care, he’s eating a grain-free food and has not had any skin issues.  He’ll occasionally chew at his paw, but he has not needed any special veterinary care for his skin.

Ramble would love to find a home where he could join his people in any activity, whether it’s taking an invigorating walk, going in the car to help run errands, doing some training exercises, playing fetch or just keeping them company in the house. He will follow you around just to keep you company as you go about your household chores.

He does enjoy his very own dog bed and will settle down on it wherever it’s placed; and when it’s quiet time, that’s where you’ll find him.

If he sounds like the dog you would enjoy having as your faithful companion, please ask us about Ramble.
