Adopted: 9/12/16 at age 2 yrs. 3 months (DOB 6/15/14)

Scorpio is one of the four dogs that we took in last year from the same home. His owner had some medical issues and needed to find a safe place for the dogs he loved but could no longer care for. We knew that taking four dogs that were fearful and not socialized was going to require a dedicated team of special people to help each of them get ready for a new life. If you follow us on Facebook, you know that we have found loving homes for Scorpio’s mother, Holly and his big brother Mushroom / Wiley (they are together) and his beautiful litter mate Baby / Ava.

Scorpio is a very sweet boy. He is eager to please and just wants to be with his people. His favorite toy is his ball. It is the first thing he looks for in the morning and the last thing he plays with before bedtime. He pokes it with his nose or his paw to make it roll and then chases it with great enthusiasm. When he wants to play catch he will drop it in his foster mom’s lap or at her feet. He also loves his walks and exploring all the sights and smells of the neighborhood.

When Scorpio first came to GSRNE he had severe separation anxiety and was a very nervous boy. He spent some extra time with our Training Director to help him deal with his fears. He then moved to a regular foster home and with lots of love and patience, he is now ready for adoption.  Like the rest of his dog family, we are very happy to report that his foster home is going to be his forever home.
