Audie is a happy 6 year old male who enjoys being with his people as much as possible.  Audie’s original owner surrendered him to a shelter when he needed to move in with his elderly mother as he was worried the big dog could knock her over accidentally.  The shelter staff called us as they really liked him and wanted to find a more suitable place for him as he was showing kennel stress.  Luckily, we had an available temporarily foster home who was able to take Audie out of the kennel environment.  When the transporter arrived, there were heartfelt goodbyes for this lovable guy and the transporter joked she was tempted to bring him home herself.  

Once in his longer term foster home, Audie has successfully decompressed and been a wonderful guest.  He has enjoyed going on pack walks with other dogs, gently and curiously met the farm animals at the foster’s home, and has brushed up his basic training of which he already had a good foundation.  Audie has a good energy level and will do well with a person or family who will keep his mind and body active.  After a fun filled day, he will snuggle up next to his people or just hang out near you in his bed.  His new family will need to be patient with him, allow him time to adjust, and keep up his training.  Once accustomed to you and your lifestyle, Audie will be your loyal companion.  Apply to meet this great boy today.
