Brock is a happy go lucky young guy who found himself in a tough spot.  He was found as a stray by an ACO dragging a leash, but despite exhaustive attempts at finding an owner, no one came forward.  Due to severe overcrowding and some initial food guarding behavior, Brock was on the euthanasia list.  Desperate to save him, the shelter contacted us to see if we could help find him a home.  We didn’t have a foster home, but given the dire circumstances, we were able to get him in a short-term board and train facility to buy us time to get him into an adoptive home.  There he learned how to socialize with other dogs and became a staff favorite with his fun puppy energy and antics.  We think the initial food guarding behavior may have been fear and hunger because it hasn’t reoccurred.  We had a young family looking for a young dog and Brock seemed to fit.  They met him and it was love at first sight.  Congratulations to all.
