Several weeks ago, we were called about an urgent situation for an adorable 4-month-old puppy.  Lucky’s owners had purchased her as an impulse buy not knowing about the German Shepherd breed.  We know German Shepherd puppies can be irresistible with those big ears, loving eyes, and fluffy coat, but we beg you to please do your breed research before getting any dog.  2 days after bringing her home, they realized they were in over their heads but wanted the best for her so they called us for help.  Luckily for little Lucky, we had a foster home available to take her immediately.  Her foster family started working on puppy basics like potty training and manners.  She was described as just the “sweetest girl”.  We were soon receiving pictures of a little floof-ball with crazy puppy ears and a huge smile.  It quickly became clear that this girl had picked her foster family to be her forever family.  Now named Zaira, her new family says “the joy she has brought into our lives has been such a gift; we all adore her”.  Welcome home Zaira, GSRNE #716!
