When Gabby’s owner was moving to Arizona for a job opportunity he planned on taking her with him but, unforeseen circumstances happened at the airport and at the last minute the airlines refused to let her fly with him.  His only choice was to leave her with his Mother knowing she would be well taken care of. Unfortunately due to some underlying medical conditions with his grandmother, who also lives in the home, including being asthmatic,  it was hard for his Mother to keep Gabby who has a long coat and sheds.  Five year old Gabby was trained, up to date with all her shots, and very friendly so we knew we had to help her.

Gabby is like a “teddy bear” with people and is so gentle. Her foster home told us she is so sweet, just sits there and looks at you.  She’s very affectionate and loves to be petted —her tag wags so fast!  Gabby is a dog that definitely wants to please her people.  She can be protective of the house.  She barks to let them know when someone has come on the property.  She loves to ride in the car and go for walks at the park.  Outside she gets ecstatic and is high energy as she loves to play.  Gabby is smart well behaved dog.  Due to Covid 19 restrictions they haven’t been able to socialize a lot so she has not been around other people or dogs. But, they have a 7 year old granddaughter that visits often and she and Gabby have become best friends. They play ball together, and if their granddaughter leaves the room, Gabby gets right up to see where she went. Her favorite toys are her Funky Monkey and her ball.  They told us —“She gives us unconditional love. She brings happiness and joy into our lives every day. We are glad she rescued us!”
