A few months ago, authorities found an abandoned female German Shepherd tied up to a gate using a horse lead. The dog was malnourished and in need of medical treatment. The good news is the fleas are gone, her ear infection has been addressed, and she’s already feeling better. So many dogs need our help, but when we heard about Bonnie, we knew she was a top priority.
We did not have a foster home immediately available so Bonnie has been staying at a boarding and training facility that has helped us with several dogs when we have emergent placement needs. They have found her to be a very sweet and affectionate girl. She is a staff favorite. Bonnie is learning her basic commands. She is a happy girl with a lot of energy with a puppyish quality about her. She is a super cuddle bug, loves car rides, and has the cutest ears! Bonnie prefers to be the apple of your eye as an only dog so she can get all your attention. We do not know if Bonnie has any experience around kids so she will need a home with no one younger than teenagers.
We are going to make sure this sweet girl receives everything she needs to be a healthy three-year-old, including lots of love and affection.
