Meet Atlas..

When a local shelter called us about this handsome 2-year-old, they didn’t know much about him because he was a stray that came in with a bad yeast infection in both ears.  He was very friendly and playful and just a really nice dog.  The shelters were crowded, and we knew he had only so much time, so we moved quickly to bring this sweet boy into GSRNE; they had named him Atlas. Once we met him, we knew he was a dog that wouldn’t be with us long.  Truthfully, all he needed was a little brush-up on his basic obedience while we found him the perfect forever home.

Atlas is just a great boy who has a really nice disposition and is calm and affectionate.  He is a dog that’s happy with just being where his people are; he loves to be close by and will lean into you for a hug.  He’s great in public and around other dogs and, as a bonus, is cat-friendly.  It’s hard to believe no one was looking for this boy who we feel is close to perfect.
