Peanut is a happy 3-year-old girl who loves to play. She was owned by a college student attending school out of state while Peanut lived with his parents. However, energetic Peanut needed more attention and activity than her home could provide her. Peanut also liked to steal food from the other female dog in the house, and although playful on her end, was not always reciprocated well by the other dog. Despite that, the dogs did get along. During her evaluation, she was very relaxed with the GSRNE volunteers. Given her sweet disposition, we were able to place her directly into an adoptive home. On her arrival, Peanut made herself right at home and our transporter even laughed because, as she was leaving, she saw Peanut had already found her spot to watch football with the family. Her new family is in love with Peanut too. Peanut is kind enough to bring them a shoe (singular) in the morning from the front door. She is already enjoying small groups at doggie daycare and loves her daily walks in her new neighborhood. We could not be happier for Peanut and her furever family. Congratulations to all.
