Girl is a happy, energetic, and fun loving lady who is estimated to be about 3 years old.  She was brought in as a reported stray to a local shelter.  Not knowing what to call her, the shelter staff nicknamed her Girl and it stuck.  They told us what a wonderful dog she is and they just couldn’t believe that they hadn’t found a family interested in her.  They were hoping we could help find her a home.  After meeting Girl, we saw what an awesome dog she is, so we immediately said yes to bringing her into our rescue.

We were able to place Girl in a temporary foster home to get her out of the shelter while we contacted a prior adopter who’d recently lost their beloved GSRNE dog after a prolonged illness.  Their home was empty and they wanted to fill it again with another dog in need.  Girl seemed like the perfect match for them and, when they met her, they whole heartedly agreed.

In her new home, Girl, now called Trudy in honor of her new dad’s late mom, loves to play with her new toys and race around her back yard.  Her family tells us she’s the sweetest and gentlest thing.  They feel they hit the jackpot and are so thankful for their new four legged family member.  We couldn’t be more thrilled for everyone!
