Today was a sad day; our dear Senta was put to sleep, as we petted her and thanked her for sharing her life for the last seven years with us. She was such a gentle soul and accompanied me to nursing homes visiting friends and acquaintances. They loved her kind being and serene beauty. And she shared her sweet and calm energy in our Reiki sessions. What a special, gentle, beautiful German Shepherd she was! I miss her so much!
Adopted March 6, 2009
Waika came to GSRNE in 2008 at 2 years old. She had been in a shelter for a long time and was taken in due to her destructiveness in the house and her urinating and defecating. Her former owners tied her out side and were not able to displine or train her and she kept escaping and running off. Finally the ACO was able to get them to turn her over to them. They contacted GSRNE and we discovered a wonderful calm and bright female that just needed love and direction. She was too sweet to be treated like that, as they are all.
