Waiting at the Rainbow Bridge

#450 Chloe

The sweetest, well behaved, and oh so photogenic our girl was the best. We never heard her whimper, whine nor bark. She never initiated an approach, but happily gave many kisses and tail wags when approached. She had many dog pals whom she was always gentle. Our travels all over the country were her delight particularly ones she got to race across a beach and splash in the water. She aged so gracefully, and as the eyesight started to diminish and she took more naps we recall those chilly days when she cuddled up in front of the fireplace while her dad read to her. Every so often getting up to nudge a thank you.

Those eyes seemed to gaze right into our souls. How could we refuse an extra treat or a steak dinner. She made known what she wanted and when sitting quietly in front of the refrigerator looking at the ice maker or in front of the treat jar.

By our sides 24/7e neighbors and friends were amused watching her follow closely while we did yard work. They will miss her also.

The love we had for her was returned 10 fold. We shall miss her for the rest of our lives.
