Rosie is a 3 ½ year-old GSD and as affectionate as can be. She loves playing fetch, going on walks, and even swimming! Rosie was placed in foster care after her parents, an elderly couple, could no longer care for her.

Rosie’s foster family has been pleasantly surprised by Rosie’s warmth; she often gives them loving looks, resting her head against their laps, and she is eager to meet and interact with their friends. While Rosie loves human attention, she would most likely do best in a one-dog home or perhaps with a very easy going male. She is currently living with another GSD; however, it has taken several weeks of highly supervised playtime for them to get along. When other dogs pass by the house, Rosie barks and occasionally jumps onto the fence.

Rosie is crate-trained and is fairly good at following basic commands. Her foster parents are currently focusing on her tendency to bark at and lunge toward cars during their walks. She is getting better at staying still while a car passes, but she still appears very tense.

Rosie is a beautiful, energetic dog, and she would thrive in a home with a family committed to training and exercise.
