Captain is a 2-year-old male with infectious puppy like energy.  His handsome dark looks quickly catch your eye.

Captain’s owners moved to a home without a fence and then had to work 60 hours a week which didn’t leave much time for training or exercise.  Captain was very friendly with the neighborhood kids.  One day one of the kids accidentally let him out of the house and he ran after a little dog.  No one was hurt, but animal control was involved and the family felt the best option was to have Captain rehomed to where he could get a lot more activity and attention.

Captain had lived with an older GSD female so we asked an approved applicant with a senior female GSD to consider fostering him with the option of adopting him if the transition went well.  Captain quickly learned he was at home.  He is not destructive and no longer needs crating when the family isn’t home.  He has also been a huge comfort to his new family after the passing of their female not long after he arrived. His new family says that Captain is affectionate, loves to play, and enjoys going for walks.  They told us that they cannot imagine their home without him and asked to make his adoption official.  Congratulations to all!
