Thank You for bringing this foster dog into my life. Had I not made the decision to participate in rescue, I would never have had the chance to meet her. If I had sat here comfortably in my home and said "I already have two dogs and I know that I couldn't take in another - even on a temporary basis," I would never have met this dog. Little Piece of My Heart
So often I hear, "I don't know how you do it. I couldn't give up a dog that I'd fostered." Yes, it's hard -- harder with some than with others. But they need someone to take that risk. Without someone willing to give a piece of their heart, these dogs would, quite literally, die. A while back, I ran across this story.
