Dreamer is a beautiful tan/white female GSD/mix with a black muzzle and a fluffy, curly tail.  She is approximately three years old, spayed, and her foster Dad tells us that she is incredibly affectionate and attentive to her people.  She wants to be where they are and is always looking for belly rubs…even from people she has just met.  She welcomes new people and treats them like a long-lost friend.

She is so happy to engage with people that she has not yet learned to contain her impulse to jump up to say hello.  Her foster Dad is working on that, but she will need reminders for the foreseeable future.  If you’re sitting down, Dreamer might lay her head in your lap and then try to put the rest of herself in your lap if a limit is not set….snuggling is one of her favorite things.

Dreamer is young and energetic and will need a family who enjoys being active with her.  In her foster home, she goes for 7-mile runs with a family member and does not seem especially tired afterwards.  She also enjoys going for rides in the car and for nice walks.

There’s a cat in the foster home, and Dreamer is not hostile towards the cat but does think it’s fun to make kitty run.  At times, they have staring matches and will be within a foot of each other; if the cat doesn’t run, Dreamer doesn’t either.  She might be fine with a dog-savvy cat who will set boundaries with her.

She has been ok with dogs in groups when she was boarded but not comfortable when meeting another dog one-on-one.  She would probably be very happy as an only dog, getting all the attention.  If you are seeking a companion that is completely loving and dedicated to her family, and you’re active and able to give her proper exercise, Dreamer could be just the dog for you!
