GSRNE 2009 Calendar Raffle

This exciting raffle is back again this year! Tickets will be on sale for the next 2 months!. Deadline is June 30th but payment MUST be in!. Members can purchase theirs at our 2009 Membership Appreciation Picnic on Sunday, June 14th at the Hopkinton State Park in MA.

The raffle is a calendar of the month of July....for every single day in that month we will be giving away CASH, gift cards or prizes to the winner of the day!! That means there will be 31 prizes in total. Our biggest cash winner will be July 4th and that date is worth $500.00!! The cost for a ticket is $10.00 each and it allows you the chance to win every single day.

Even if you WIN on one of those days your name will be reentered to continue throughout the rest of the month! The winners will be notified and posted on our website.

This raffle is a great way to help support our dogs in need. We thank you for helping us make it a HUGE success. We are all an important piece of of saving lives...Together we make a difference. Thank you for your time and efforts!!

Congratulations to all the 2009 Calendar Raffle winners!

I would also like to thank ALL of our members that sold, sold, sold and then sold some more :) Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and selling hard when things were tough. Thank you for understanding my 5-for-5 theory and how important it was to sell to OTHER people besides our members. This was critical for the raffle to succeed! It not only helps to take the financial burden off the shoulders of our membership, but it spreads the news of the good works that we do for GSDs in need!

I would also like to congratulate our winners. I was happy to see that some of our hardworking volunteers won as well as our supporters! It is soooo much fun to see!!! That is why I LOVE this raffle and I hope you do too. It is a lot of FUN for everyone!!!!

It is my hope to have the exact figures for everyone very soon. The funds raised from this raffle will help meet the daily expenses of food, toys and, of course, medical attention that all of our dogs receive while awaiting their forever homes! NONE of that would be possible without all of YOU. Many, many thanks!

2009 CALENDAR RAFFLE RULES AND REGULATIONS

The CALENDAR RAFFLE is conducted by German Shepherd Rescue of New England, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. All proceeds, less expenses, will benefit the work to rehome the dogs.

PURCHASE INFORMATION: The purchase price of the calendar is $10.00 which gives you 31 chances to win prizes worth $15.00 - $500.00. Tickets accompanied by payment in full may also be sent to, and must be in the possession of German Shepherd Rescue of New England; PO Box 299; Wayland, MA; 01778 by close of business on JUNE 30, 2009. If an entrant's check or credit card payment is dishonored by the bank or credit card company, the entry will be declared invalid unless full payment is made in good funds prior to the drawing. Tickets that have not been paid for will NOT be entered into the raffle.

WHO MAY ENTER? Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Board members, directors, and other GSRNE members are also eligible to enter.

HOW DO I WIN? The winner will be determined by a daily random drawing. Winning tickets are re-entered into the raffle, allowing the possibility of winning more than once. The winner need not be present to win. Drawings will take place daily beginning July 1, 2009 and ending July 31, 2009. Winning draw receives prize for the corresponding date on the calendar.

GSRNE is not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate, illegible or incomplete entry of information or for lost, delayed, misdirected or mutilated entries or mail. PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY!

GENERAL: The winner agrees to permit his/her name to appear on the GSRNE website at www.gsrne.org and to use his or her name, for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation

Per IRS ruling, the purchase of raffle tickets is not considered a gift and does not qualify as a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Winner will assume and be responsible for payment of the required federal withholding tax, if any, and all other fees, and local, state and federal taxes.
